Rokeby High School Sub'Urban Dance Project 2013 WATER

Rokeby High School students will be performing in the Sub'Urban Dance Project 2013 WATER at Rosny College on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd July.

The Sub’Urban’ Dance Project combines the dance classes from Rokeby High School and selected students from Lauderdale, South Arm, Rokeby and Clarendon Vale Primary Schools.

In recognition of the United Nations’ ‘Year of International Water Cooperation’, the theme of the performance is water and the role it plays in our lives.

Students have been exploring how water is used in their daily life, the impact of water restrictions and water meters, and comparing this to water use in less fortunate areas and countries.

They are developing dance performance with Tullia Chung-Tilley (Rokeby High School teacher) and Nicole ‘Lamb’ Iovine.

Lamb, a renowned dancer and educator has appeared on national shows ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ and regularly performs with Australian entertainers ‘Timomatic’ and ‘Samantha Jade’.  She has played an important role by encouraging all students to develop as dancers and provides inspiration for their futures.
